Sooo Tired!

Okay, I have not been able to post pictures to my blog until right now, WAHOO!! I don't know what was wrong. So, Christmas is almost here, I can't believe it. Thanksgiving was fun, we spent it with Brandon's family since my fam was down in St. George. Burton had a blast playing with his cousins all weekend. McKenzie is doing good, just growing like a weed. Below are some updated pics of her. I love the one where she fell asleep in her Bumbo!

Halloween!

Well Halloween came and went a few weeks ago, but I have not put any pics on my blog from Halloween. Burton dressed up as a skunk, or as he liked to call it, a stunk. We went to his Grammie's Ward party, our Ward party and then went trick or treating the night of Halloween. He of course had a blast trick or treating with his cousins. I think he was in awe that he could just knock on someone's door and they would give him candy. As most of you probably already know, my son LOVES candy, so he thought it was great. McKenzie just had a Halloween outfit and she stayed home while we went trick or treating because it was kind of cold and rainy. Maybe next year she can come along! Speaking of Kenz, she is getting SO big. She is 2 1/2 months old now and just getting bigger every day. She is such a sweet and good baby and such a nice addition to our family.

As for the rest of us. I am just in the never ending search for a new house and still trying to get the house in Phoenix sold. It is a never ending battle I'm afraid. As for Brandon, he's just working away so that when we finally sell our house, we can buy a new one!

I have tried to attach some pictures from Halloween, but for some reason it is not letting me, so I guess if I can figure it out, I'll post them later.

You asked for it, so here it is!

Okay, I've had some people bugging me to update my blog, so here it is! McKenzie is now 7 weeks old and growing like a weed. She is already SO big, I can't believe it. We blessed her on September 28th and there is a picture below of her blessing day. Burton is still very much in love with his sister, he just wants to hug and kiss her ALL the time. I'd rather have that I guess than have him being jealous and naughty.

Probably the most exciting thing for us right now is that our short sale got approved and we are just waiting to hear about a closing date! So, we have started to look at some houses and we are just praying that it goes through and we can get into our own house soon!!!

We took another trip to St. George a few weeks ago. McKenzie has already been twice in her young life! While we were there, we found a TARANTULA in my parents backyard. I took a picture with my phone, I wish I could get it onto the computer, it was actually kind of cool. Just as long as it stays OUTSIDE!!!

Well, not too exciting, but I will post some pics below for you!!!

My How Time Flies!

Well, our little McKenzie is already 2 weeks old and even crazier is that she already weighs 8 lbs 11 oz! I think she might be a little chunkier than her brother, who never made it out of the 5th percentile for his weight! Things are going really well so far, other than Burton occasionally wants nothing to do with me. McKenzie is a really good baby and I just hope she stays that way. Burton really seems to like his little sister, it's just his Mom he has a hard time with now. I already feel back to my normal self and can't wait to start working out and lose some of this baby weight, although that is still another 4 weeks away according to doctors orders. Well, just thought I'd post a little update and share some more pics!

Introducing Our Newest Addition, McKenzie May Marlor!

Well, she is finally here and the following is the story of her birth! I was induced on Monday, August 25th and arrived at the hospital about 9:30. It took quite a while to get me all hooked up to everything and it was about 11:00 before I was hooked up to the Pitocin to start contractions. At 1:30 my doctor came in to break my water and I had only progressed to 2 cm. I was thinking we were going to be in it for the long haul! Well, luckily, I was wrong. About 2 hours later I was to a 4 and about another 2 hours after that I was to a 7. I asked for the epidural around the time I was 4 cm. I wasn't in a TON of pain, but I figured I would probably end up with one in the end, so I would save myself the agony. Right after the nurse checked me and I was 7 I started shaking really bad and she said I was in transition. Thirty minutes later, I was to a 10 and it was time to push. My doctor came in and within 4-5 pushes, she was out! This time was SO different and so much easier than with Burton. With Burton I could not feel ANYTHING, my epidural was SO strong. This time I could move my toes and I could feel all the pressure of her coming down, but no pain. I never believed people when they said they could feel that pressure because I literally felt nothing with Burton, but I much prefer it this way and I could actually feel to push. McKenzie entered the world at 5:40 p.m. (only 4 hours after my water was broken) and she weighed 7 lbs 14 oz and was 20 inches long. She has a head full of dark hair and is such a sweetheart. We came home on Wednesday the 27th and we are both doing very well. My recovery seems to be much easier this time too. Maybe everything is just easier the second time around! Burton has been really good for the most part and loves to give her kisses. We are just so glad she is here and feel so blessed to have 2 beautiful, healthy children.

Anxiously Waiting

Yes, I am still pregnant and just anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little Makenzie. There is a full moon tonight, so I'm crossing my fingers, LOL! My actual due date is the 19th, but I am just SO ready to have her! So, if you are reading this, start praying that she comes soon!

As for Burton, he is as good as ever and just makes me smile and laugh every day. I hope he does okay once the baby is here. It will be hard to divide my time between two, but everybody does it, right?

Well, hopefully the next time I post will be to announce our new arrival!

Finally, an update!

So, I am not so good at keeping this blog updated, sorry. The last I posted, Burton was going to get his tooth pulled, which he was really good for. I didn't get to be in the room, which was hard for me, but they said he was really good. Thank goodness that ordeal is over and now I just hope he doesn't ever knock his other tooth. I don't know how well you can see it in this picture, but this is a picture of Burton with his mising front tooth.

So, as most of you know, my son is obsessed with trains and especially loves Thomas the Tank Engine. So when Thomas came to Heber, of course we had to go see him. I must say I was quite disappointed and thought the train ride was really stupid (10 mins down the track at 5 MPH and back), but Burton loved it of course! Here are a few pictures from our "Day out with Thomas".

As for the rest of us, we are just plugging along, taking everything day to day. We have an offer on our house and have applied for a short sale, so it's just up to the bank at this point as to whether or not they accept the offer. We are praying they will, so we can just be done with it and finally get our own place here. Oh, I did turn 30 this last Friday too! Holy cow, I can't believe I'm 30! We only have about 4 weeks left before Makenzie gets here too, my how time flies! So, there you go, it's not a very exciting update, but at least it's an update. I'll try to do better going forward.

Poor, poor Burton

So, on Wednesday I noticed that Burton was looking an awful lot like a Who from Whoville. So I felt the skin between your nose and upper lip and it was swollen and had a hard bump. Well, I decided to just wait a few days and see what happened. Well, the next morning he woke up and it was about twice the size of the day before, so I decided it was time to go to the doctor. The pediatrician looked at it and she said she had never seen anything like it, but she thought it was either a bad tooth causing it or a tumor. Well the word tumor about just sends me through the roof. So, while she was out trying to call Primary Childrens to get us up there for an ultrasound, I am just trying to keep it together and the whole time my sweet Burton is saying "Don't cry Mommy" and giving me hugs and kisses (he is such a little sweetheart!). The doctor comes back in and has decided to send us to the dentist instead because she really thought it was a problem with his tooth. So, we head off to the dentist and they squeezed us in during lunch. They took some x-rays and both dentists agreed that the tooth was dead and needed to be pulled and it was causing infection, which resulted in the swelling. So, we schedule the extraction and go home. Well, the next day he cries for about an hour and a half after waking up and I can't figure out why he is so upset. Well, after his bath, he opened his mouth a little bit and I saw something that looked like food. Well I pull his lip back and see the most disgusting puss and sore I've ever seen. I freaked out and called the dentist saying that his tooth must be taken out today. They tell me he has to be on the medication for at least 24-48 hours or the numbing won't take effect. So, I called another pediatric dentist and they told me the same thing. Well, by the end of the day, his lip was almost completely back to normal because it had just been draining all day (gross I know). So, today is Sunday and my poor little boy has to go get his tooth pulled tomorrow, even though he has been acting fine and now the "sore" looks much better. Obviously we don't want to deal with infections though for the next 5-6 years before his tooth falls out. So, wish me luck, I'm sure he'll do fine and I will be the one freaking out. He is SO dang good for the doctors and dentists that poked and prodded in his mouth, he just would sit there and let them look. Have I mentioned that he is a sweetheart?

Mothers Day

Well, today was Mothers Day, not much different from any other day except that I did not touch one plate or wash one dish after dinner. I did help make dinner because we had my Grandma over and I certainly didn't want MY Mom doing all of the work, but afterwards, I was OFF DUTY! Burton made me a card in nursery with an outline of his hands and for some reason before his nap I got MANY long kisses! I just have to say that being a mother is the BEST job in the whole world and it certainly helps to have such a good kid to be a mother to! I think it was my calling in life to be a Mom and I would probably have 10 kids if Brandon would let me! The presents on Mothers Day are nice, but I just find so much joy in being a Mom and getting hugs and kisses from my little guy every day.

Burton is such a jabberbox lately and he cracks me up with some of the things he says. My favorites right now are "couple days" and "what's that noisy?". The voice he says it in makes it that much cuter though. He also has started calling the baby Kenzie, so I guess we have no choice now, but to name her Makenzie!

Well, it's really late for me, so I better be getting to bed.

Testing

Okay, this post is really just to test to see if I can add a picture to my blog. There's not much exciting going on right now, just taking care of Burton and waiting for our little girl to come. I will say that Burton has quite the vocabulary now and he makes me laugh every day. He is such a good little boy and I feel so blessed to have him in my life.

This is a picture of him in his Easter outfit, pretty handsome if you ask me!

Well, here goes nothing!

So with all of my friends and family sending me their blogs all of the time, I figured maybe it was time for me to jump on the bandwagon! I don't know how good I will be at this, but here it goes.

Right now we are living in Utah, with my parents, until we can sell our home in Phoenix and find a house here. We have one adorable little boy who is 2 and a little girl on the way, due in August.
